This session will cover the impact of industrial fishing and overfishing, the health of ocean ecosystems, and the survival of coastal populations facing threats to their livelihoods. We will explore marine management issues and propose alternatives to improve the sector. As the role of the ocean in combating climate change becomes more prominent, it’s essential to discuss the rules governing the fishing industry and their impact on marine ecosystems and communities.
