Ieper : Slag bij Passendale - Ceremonie en Last Post aan de Menenpoort (30 juli 2017)
Ter gelegenheid van de 100ste verjaardag van de Slag bij Passendale organiseerde de Britse regering, in samenwerking met de Commonwealth War Graves Commission, de stad Ieper, de gemeente Zonnebeke en het MMP 1917, de federale en Vlaamse overheid, talrijke officiële plechtigheden ter herdenking van '100 jaar ter herdenking van de Slag bij Passendale, de Derde Slag om Ieper.
Aan de Menenpoort in Ieper vond een ceremonie en Last Post plaats.
Naast talrijke hoogwaardigheidsbekleders waren ook Hunne Koninklijke Hoogheden, de hertog en hertogin van Cambridge William en Kate en hun Koninklijke Hoogheden Koning en Koningin Filip en Mathilde van België aanwezig. Ook Brits premier Theresa May was aanwezig, net zoals federaal minister van Defensie Steven Vandeput en Vlaams minister voor Energie Bart Tommelein.
