August Mini of the Month, can we make it look cool?
The August Mini of the Month is the Space Marine Scout.
Now I've painted quite a few Space Marines, so I really wasn't particularly excited for this. So I decided to make use of the number of the terrain features I had in my kit, and create a little scene with the Scout inside of it. As It came together I thought about how to push things further by playing with Object Source Lighting with my airbrush. While the effect worked alright, I learned a lot about how I need to be more mindful of my color choices and contrasts levels in order to correctly get across how I'm portraying the scene. The shadow on the brick wall I believe really sells it, but for next month's mini I'm hoping to do a little more research into color theory and see if I can come up with something even more fun!
