I always thought my Mimi’s green beans were the best! They were boiled in bacon and salt for hours. What’s not to love?
They were delicious but they don’t hold a candle to these green beans blanched, cooled and sauteed in butter, garlic and toasted almonds.
Ingredients
1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed and snapped in half
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup sliced almonds
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
