The reality of getting a tech job in 2023 is that it's not easy. It becomes even harder if you recently graduated college, and are looking for an entry level position. A couple years ago, it seemed like FAANG companies were hiring anyone with a pulse. Now you open the news and see headlines like “tech layoffs continue as Nokia announces plan to cut 14,000 jobs. Tech layoffs exceed 240,000 so far in 2023, more than 50% higher than in all of 2022, finding a tech job is still a nightmare, etc. So is it even possible to get a job in this tech market anymore? In this video, I’ll be explaining why we are seeing a tech hiring freeze in the first place, and how to overcome it and get hired.
