Лучший город Земли - The Best City in the World
A song made famous by the amazing Muslim Magomaev in 1964 about the truth, Moscow, and how it is the best city in the world! Even with it's pro-Moscow theme, the song was unfortunatly banned upon release by Nikita Khrushchev due to it's Twist genre, which was rather popular in the United states at the time. A few months after it's ban, Nikita was dismissed and the Lyricist of the song Leonid Derbenev requested the song be unbanned, to which it was allowed, and the song made a re-release later that year.
Also, during the 866th anniversary of Moscow in 2013, the song became the leitmotif of the national holiday.
