Sample Mean, Variance, and Standard Deviation of Grouped Data | Frequency Distribution Table
This video shows how to find the sample mean, sample variance, and sample standard deviation of grouped data or frequency distribution table. To calculate the mean for grouped data, first find the midpoint of each class and then multiply the midpoint by the frequencies of the corresponding classes. The sum of these products gives an approximation for the sum of all values. To find the value of mean, divide this sum by the total number of observations in the data.
