In the first episode of a series titled "Build A Portable Development Environment" we get setup with Nix, a cross-platform package manager. I show you how to setup Nix from the command line and install a few packages including zsh, git and more.
We will also build a custom install script that you can run in the future if you setup a new computer. This script will handle all of the installation and setup you need, so you don't have to worry about configuring packages ever again!
