I’m Colum Coleman and today we are wrapping up this year’s spooky stories by reading from the story responsible for creating the term Monkey’s Paw. It is, of course, The Monkey’s Paw; a 1902 short story by English author W W Jacobs and his most famous work. The Monkey’s Paw, as the title suggests, follows a family as they quite foolishly attempt to make use of a powerful wish-granting artifact that comes with some rather unsettling consequences.
