In this video, I'll show you how to use a password manager to check if your passwords have been leaked online. It's important to understand when your account passwords have been compromised and to take action quickly!
Using a password monitor, you can protect your online accounts from hackers by checking if any of your account credentials have been compromised. The password monitor then prompts you to change the passwords of any hacked accounts.
Microsoft's password monitor uses homomorphic encryption to compare your encrypted passwords against online databases and then alert you so that you can secure your accounts as quickly as possible. It does this without ever revealing your passwords to Microsoft or any third parties.
I show you how to enable this feature in the latest version of Microsoft Edge. If you are not using Microsoft Edge and don't want to change your browser, Google Chrome, and some password managers like LastPass, also have password monitor features.
⚡ Update - In the video I mention that Bitwarden has a password monitor. That's a mistake and it appears not to have one.
