The Lakhta Centre is a public and business center complex consisted of 5 buildings, including Lakhta Tower, which is an 87-story skyscraper built in the northwestern neighbourhood of Lakhta in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Standing 462 metres (1,516 ft) tall, it is the tallest building in both Russia and Europe, and the sixteenth-tallest building in the world.
The construction of Lakhta Centre started in October, 2012, but stretched for 8 years due to several reasons like corona and the change of the company which was making an interior finishing.
Now, finally in September, 2024, the first spot of Lakhta Centre was opened. In the end of the month is also already announced the opening of the observation platform on the top 86th floor.
