Today I review the ill-fated Sega Dreamcast system.

On September 9, 1999 Sega released the greatest and final console they ever made, the Dreamcast. The Sega Dreamcast brought with it several revolutionary features including a built-in modem that allowed you to both play games online as well as download DLC. The VMU, short for Visual Memory Unit was the memory card that the Dreamcast used. The VMU not only stored saved game data but also had it's own display and buttons that allowed you to play minigames right on the memory card in addition to displaying data about the game while playing the Dreamcast.
While not a commercial success due to the launch of the PlayStation 2 there's no doubt that the Sega Dreamcast is among the best consoles of all time and had much more potential than it's less than two year lifespan would suggest.
