The Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian women’s cricket team is up Sri Lanka in the final of the women’s Asia Cup T20 2024 today (July 28). The summit clash is taking place at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla. India has won all four matches played so far in the ongoing eight-team event and would like to get the better of Sri Lanka in the final to become Asia Cup champions for the record-extending eighth time.
India is coming into the final match after getting the better of 2018 champions Bangladesh by a margin of 10 wickets, whereas Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by three wickets in the second semi-final played on Friday, June 26.
After losing five finals, Sri Lanka would like to finally end the 20-year-long wait for the elusive Women’s Asia Cup title in front of home fans.
