I'll show how I installed the new chimney step by step, what product I used, where I got the best deal on product & the first fire in the stove...
Okay so i just completed the new heat shield-stone wall behind the wood stove & also just wrapped up the new hearth the wood stove is sitting on. Now its time to bust out the chimney installation it self.
After getting an expensive quote for the chimney pipe from the wood stove shop I was a little discouraged, their price was almost $1,300... I was surprised because I only paid $400 for the used wood stove in the first place but that was 5 years earlier. Anyway I was prepared to fork over the $1300 for the chimney when I found this web site online that had the pieces I need for basically half off, the guy I spoke with was super nice & helpful & the transaction went smoothly. During the install after I mocked up the pieces I realized I was short a piece of pipe that I didn't order, no worries because the local stove shop had it in stock.
