I know five methods for constructing a surface using cross-sections to find volumes of materials (sand) on section. And I want to present "my method". Of course, there is nothing unique about this method. However, I will pass it off as my own )). So:
you need to pre-create 2 of your own buttons and put them on the " quick access toolbars"
By clicking for the first time on "UCS origin", we set the origin of coordinates at the point on the Sample line that has the design elevation
By clicking the second time on "UCS origin" set the shift to the design elevation (i.e. "minus" shifts down the origin
Next, use the "List" command to get the coordinates of the vertexes of any line across (the line can contain many vertexes, the main thing is that the vertex of the line does not hang over the previous one
By exporting to Excel, we assign a station line to each line
Import" from file " to build points along the alignment
Creating a surface based on imported points
Creating " several types of sections"
Loading the created surface into sections
"Compute materials"
You can "generate volume report" (further in excel, you can use it for further analysis)
Bonus: showed that by switching the mode from dynamics to static, you can manually edit the line received from the surface in the section.

It may be interesting to see my work.
