Let’s Talk Re-Globalization
While globalization has improved the lives and livelihoods of people around the world, not everyone has shared in the gains from trade. Wase Musonge and Trineesh Biswas explain how the WTO can support a more inclusive, more sustainable future through re-globalization.
Integration and exchange help economies and people thrive. Open global trade has raised per capita incomes and helped create jobs in rich and poor countries.
Global economic fragmentation would hit developing economies and low-income households the hardest. What we need instead is a re-globalization that brings more people and places from the margins to the mainstream of the global economy.
