Gravel Touring Scotland - Clackmannanshire Tours - 2: Alloa West Part 1
This is the first half of a two part documentary style video following a ride using quiet roads tracks and gravel trails from the heart of Clackmannanshire. Episode 1 covered trails East of the centre of the county, and these two cover trails west, heading from Alloa, through Cambus and over to the foot of the Ochil hills through Bridge of Allen and finally up and over toward Dumnblane where the trails head upward to make a return journey over the Ochils by gravel track and then make an epic flowy descent all the way back down to the Hillfoot village of Menstrie and off-road again back to the start.
Part 1 (this film) takes us from the start in the centre of Alloa up toward the base of Sheriffmuir above Dunblane where we will soon ride over the historic battlefield to begin the climb onto the Ochils.
