Hi. Welcome to this free and open source, virtual system presentation called "OpenProject Community edition - A Virtual Machine".
As you may be aware, OpenProject is the leading, free and open source, project / task / time and team management software. in my opinion, it is a very user friendly, web based software, that we can start using in all organizations, in just a few minutes.
This OpenProject Virtual Machine is built, using an existing bitnami openproject vm, with my added efforts, at the top, to make it easier for all my users. This system is prepared, to be used in local and trusted work networks only. It cannot be accessed from the outside world, by default.
Also, https support is not active in this system. Use http instead to connect.
If you need a much wider access and enterprise support options, then you can always check the cloud offering from both openproject.org and bitnami.com.

This Virtual Machine's Minimum Requirements :
1. Enable Virtualization Technology support in your System BIOS / UEFI ( if any ) after Google Search on it, for your desktop / laptop model. Use a physical machine that has atleast a dual core processor, with 8 GB memory and 128 GB SSD drive.
2. Download & Install virtualbox & its extension pack from the website :

for windows ( Also Google for microsoft vc++ redistributable, download & install it first on windows only ) and virtualbox for macosx ( intel )
This Virtual Machine currently does not support : Apple MacbookPro Silicon M1 chipset for virtualbox installation.
For linux, it is preferable to use your os package manager to update & install virtualbox ( even earlier versions will do fine ). Just use, for eg.
sudo apt update
sudo apt install virtualbox
for debian based systems &
sudo yum check-update
sudo yum install virtualbox
for redhat based systems, on your terminal.
This will take care of all dependencies including the appropriate kernel modules.
3. Google Search for any issues or requirements that get reported & resolve it
4. Double Click the .ova file provided to import it in the VirtualBox software, only once & then right click the Start option to start this OpenProject System & Close option to Savestate / ACPI Shutdown.
Increase CPU Count and Memory in the VM's Settings, as required, for better performance
Also, this Virtual Machine can be imported into several free virtualization softwares like EXSI server, Vmware Player etc. The complete list of softwares supporting this is given here : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_Vi...
5. This Virtual Appliance requires a Network of type : Bridged Adapter & the Active Adapter Name Chosen, from its Settings - Network option. Refer https://i.imgur.com/zJvuycu.png
VERY IMPORTANT: A small correction in the Video above - Choose a LAN Card Network Adapter Connection in Virtualbox ( Not Wifi ), after connecting your PC to your Router / Switch, with a LAN Cable. If the Router / Switch has a DHCP Server enabled inside, then the Virtual Machine, will be able to obtain an IP Address from it, quickly.
6. This System also requires a DHCP ( Dynamic IP Address ) from your Router / Switch for Local Network Connections.

8. The free FileZilla software ( https://filezilla-project.org/downloa... ) offers you an easy edit and upload / download facility for files.
Just right click the file name & choose Edit in it.
9. While Linux & Mac Users have terminal in-built to connect to this OpenProject System, through the ssh command, Windows Users can use the free Putty Software : https://www.putty.org
Terminal Programs can give easy Copy & Paste facility etc.
