The Quickest way to white balance in Resolve
A new way to balance your footage - Davinci Resolve 18
There's lots of different ways to balance your footage when it comes to working in Davinci Resolve. A lot of us have been taught to grade in what is an old fashion way, a way that I no longer use.
In this video I'll show you my method and many other colourists method when it comes to balancing your footage. The footage has a terrible blue white balance, it's completely off and it needs to be fixed. With our new technique to fixing a bad white balance it will get fix really easier and it's such a simple technique to do. I really think it will help you out when it comes to your white balance.
We'll be working in a linear gamma space when it comes to our balancing node. It works a lot better and something that is my go to method.
We're using some poorly shot footage to demonstrate how we can fix your balance in several different ways.
