Increase RAM Speed on MSI B450M Mortar V2: Enable A-XMP
Hey everyone! Today, I decided to check my PC’s performance and noticed that my RAM was running at only 2133 MHz, even though I have HyperX Fury RAM that is rated for 3200 MHz. In this video, I’ll show you how to fix this issue by enabling A-XMP (AMD Extreme Memory Profile) in the BIOS settings of my MSI B450M Mortar V2 motherboard.
🗯In the video, I’ll guide you through each step in detail and show you the performance improvement after enabling A-XMP.
0- Steps to Enable A-XMP in BIOS:
1- Restart Your PC: First, restart your computer.
2- Enter BIOS: As your computer boots up, repeatedly press the Delete key to enter the BIOS settings. (This key might be different for other motherboards, but for most MSI motherboards, it’s the Delete key.)
3- Navigate to Overclocking Settings: Once in the BIOS, use the arrow keys to navigate to the OC (Overclocking) tab.
4- Enable A-XMP: Look for the A-XMP option (it might also be called XMP on other motherboards). A-XMP stands for AMD Extreme Memory Profile. Once you find it, enable it.
5- Select Profile: After enabling A-XMP, you will see different profiles with their respective speeds. Choose the profile with the highest rated speed.
6- Save and Exit: Save your settings and exit the BIOS.
After following these steps, your RAM should be running at its optimal speed.
