Why is it that despite us living closer together and having more access to communication tools, we feel more disconnected? In this inspirational and empowering talk, Megan Streb from Sustrans explores how we can be more connected to ourselves, our community, and our environment.

Megan Streb is an American transplant living in Southampton, UK. Her personal sustainability challenge, a ‘Buy Nothing New’ year, was featured on local radio and national magazines. Megan works to create change in a wider setting as part of Sustrans, an organisation which works to enable people to travel by foot, bike or public transport for more of the journeys they make every day.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
