Correcting the light with a Sony Speedlight
This was shot during the recently concluded #sonykandotripsea #sonykandotripph. @mikirai was a special guest speaker but also ended up being a model :).
Now the light, it was indeed beautiful, perfect intensity and quality, however the direction was incorrect. I wanted her to face towards the right because I felt that was her angle plus the ambient light was coming from high above and that would have given really unflattering shadows on her face. So I asked someone to hold on to my Sony F60RMii Speed light and had him put it on the right side of my camera making sure to light up her short side. (The side opposite the camera) to give more shape. I then used the Vari-ND Filter to stay within my flash sync speed, set the power of my flash, took a few shots and said thank you. It took couple of minutes to create this photograph, what do you guys think?
