Health emergencies come in many forms and with increasing frequency. Disease outbreaks, chemical accidents, radiation leaks, natural disasters, and conflicts all come with the need for clear communication about what steps the public can take to be safe and stay healthy. The Emergency Communications Network (ECN) training is WHO’s flagship emergency communication training designed to build a cohort of trained, tested, and trusted communication officers in WHO, in ministries of health, and with partners. This video showcases ECN training which enables communication professionals to effectively communicate with stakeholders during emergencies to promote health, save lives, and protect the vulnerable.
