In case you've ever thought about going to Vietnam and/or wondered what to do in Vietnam well look no further. Here is our 4-day motorbike tour through the Ha Giang mountain loop, that's north of Vietnam and borders China. This is by far one of the best experiences we've ever had while travelling together.
You get everything included in the tour (food, accommodation, awesome tour guides and meeting other cool backpackers).
You have the option to drive a motorbike yourself or hop on the back of a tour guide's motorbike (easy rider lol). I recommend the easy rider if you don't have much experience driving motorbikes. The terrain is pretty hectic. Plus you need a VIETNAMESE MOTORBIKE LICENSE not just an international license. There are random police checks along the journey and they won't let you drive unless you have one. They are easy enough to purchase online however.
We went in the second week of November so it was the tail end of the rainy season, warm but also chilly in some parts of the mountains so bring a few layers and a rain jacket.
What they don't tell you is that by the end of the four day trek your cheeks will be clapped but, there are plenty of pit stops that make it worth the sore bum.
Don't forget a Vietnamese visitors visa, tell your bank you'll be using a different country's currency and enjoy the ride!
