In April, I walked 283 kilmeters from Porto, Portugal to Santiago, Spain along the coastal and central routes of the Portuguese Camino de Santiago. This is an essay film about the intention I set at the beginning of the journey, in the cathedral in Porto, and what I learned from the experience.

The Camino de Santiago is a Catholic pilgrimage that ends at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain, where the remains of St. James are held. The most common routes start in either France or Portugal. Some people do it for religious reasons, although I wanted to do it to experience the physical challenge, have time to meditate/reflect, and get to see Portugal and Spain on foot which is a totally different experience than other modes of traveling. If you are thinking about doing a Camino, I'd highly recommend it!

Thanks so much for watching!!!
