Fine Motor Skills - 3 Fun Motor Skill Activities to Teach Fine Motor Skills the Montessori Way

The first activity is "Bowl Pinning" and requires clothespins and a bowl. Press down and pinch them on a bowl; these teaches them the fine motor skills of pinching down, plus you can use them count. Second there is "Penne Pasta Thread." Use some penne pasta and some pipe cleaners. Thread the colored penne pasts and you can work on "color recognition" or even sequencing. Finally, there is "Toy Rescue." Use a basket, some string, some filler, and some toy animals to "rescue." Pull the toys out between the string. Even more fun, add a puzzle so that as they "rescue" the puzzle pieces they can make the puzzle!
