What is a Periscope
Periscope is an optical instrument which uses a system of prisms, lenses, or mirrors to reflect images through a tube. In this instrument, plane mirrors are used to fold light so that the image of an object can be brought down to a lower level. The essential parts of a periscope are a tube, prisms, lenses, mirrors, and an eyepiece. The image is received in one mirror is reflected through the tube to a mirror visible to the viewer.
