A nuisance on Earth and a nightmare on the Moon! Dust mitigation has been a serious challenge for NASA since Apollo. When astronauts were entering and exiting the lunar module, the dust got everywhere – it clogged mechanisms, interfered with instruments, caused radiators to overheat, and even tore up their spacesuits. For NASA to conduct extended human and robotic exploration on the Moon or Mars, the agency needs a better understanding of how to mitigate the omnipresent and complex problem of dust. This is where you come in, are you ready to help NASA solve this dust issue? This video will help with tips and tricks to find solutions to this out-of-this-world problem. You got this!
