i cannot spoil the story bc i wanna save it for later, but what i will say is that it's based on the online comic, Out of Placers (created by ValSalia). other worlds will be added soon ;)
the comic and the mod are not connected in any way as of yet, and this is merely a test as to where this mod will go later down the line.
as you noticed, this is an Expurgation test, which means i've used the song in the Tricky mod to test things out. the song is not canon, and may only appear in the final release as a bonus song (if i can get the kill notes to work properly lol)
also, PLAY THIS ON NORMAL! the game will crash on any other difficulty!
