How to install Defender Pigeon Spikes on play equipment?
On play equipment, pigeons will commonly roost, stand or perch on wooden cross beams, horizontal metal poles or even the roofs of playhouses. The good news is that Defender Bird Spikes are easy to install on almost all scenarios.
For cross beams, you can simply silicone the Defender Bird Spikes into position using our specially formulated Defender Bird Spike Silicone. If you are installing on a wooden cross beam, you can use screws or nails if you prefer. If it is a smaller metal pole, such as a swing, cable ties can be used to secure the pigeon spikes into position. Cable ties are perfect for trampoline nets too, where you may wish to remove them later down the line.
If the area is heavily soiled, clean it with warm soapy water and some disinfectant like Germ Clear Bird Droppings Spray. Allow 24 hours to thoroughly dry before installing with silicone.
