Sometimes, when I'm working on my YouTube channel in YouTube Studio, I download images from Google, only to find that they're saved as WEBP files. This format can be limiting if I need the image in a more widely supported format like JPEG or PNG. Unfortunately, there aren’t always options to save it differently, and dealing with a WEBP file can be frustrating when you need other file types.
To solve this problem, I’ve started using a free Chrome extension called Save Image As Type. This extension is available on the Chrome Web Store (link below).

Once installed, it adds new options to save images in different formats. When you find an image, you simply right-click it, select Save Image As Type, and you’ll see options to save it as a JPEG, PNG, or even keep it as a WEBP file if that’s what you need.
This extension is a quick and easy workaround for anyone who often downloads images from Google or YouTube Studio but wants more control over file formats.
