Introducing BURROW: Borehole Underground Reconnaissance and Real-time Obstacle Wayfinder
BURROW is an effort to modernize America’s power infrastructure using climate-resilient, cost-effective, and high-speed undergrounding technology. Working with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E)’s Grid Overhaul with Proactive, High-Speed Undergrounding for Reliability, Resilience, and Security (GOPHURRS) program, Oceanit partnered with University of Houston’s Cullen College of Engineering to make undergrounding as cheap and fast as running new overhead power lines.
