United States - A New U.S. President And A New Hope
John Fitzgerald Kennedy was sworn in as the 35th President Of The United States. Excellent shots of swearing in ceremony, Kennedy travels to Vienna and meets Nikita Krushchev, then travels to Britain.

United States - The Space Race Heats Up
Russians successfully orbit Yuri Gagarin who becomes the first man to orbit the earth in the propaganda coup of the year and heating up the Space Race between the Superpowers. U.S. successfully launches Commander Alan B. Shepard in a sub-orbital flight and Captain Grissom in another sub-orbital flight in which his space capsule, Liberty 7, is lost at sea.

Germany - East Germany Begins Building The Berlin Wall
The Berlin Wall becomes the line of demarcation between East Berlin and West Berlin as the Communists throw up their Wall of Hate. Hastily barricades of brick and barbed wire are thrown up by East Germany as German civilians continue to run across 'No Man's Land' to West Germany.
