Welcome to another #shorts episode of Dev Lapse. In this time-lapse video, I work on setting up GridFS in NodeJS with MongoDB (mongoose), build some frontend with React and Material-UI, and write a couple REST APIs for the same.
GridFS allows for files over the size of 16MB to be stored in MongoDB divided into multiple chunks of 256K. It’s a neat solution and a decent alternative to Amazon S3.
