*CORRECTION TO CLASS A SLCS* they are still a 2 wire circuit, not 4. It’s just, Instead of having a resistor at the end of it, it loops back to the panel.
Disclaimers: 1) an end-of-line resistor was required on my class B slc to make the devices work. If there was no resistor, the devices would not power up and the panel would give a trouble saying they are missing. This may vary from panel to panel. It may be advisable to try without a resistor first. 2) I am not a professional fire alarm technician. I am a hobbyist.
