INSTRUCTIONS FOR REMOVING TEXT PRESETS:

In the Finder, hold down the Option key and choose Go Library.

Navigate to /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Motion/Library/Text Styles/.

The Text Styles folder contains the custom text styles you’ve created. Each text style has three files: a file with the extension .molo, a file with the extension .png that is the preview of the text style, and a file with “_menu” appended to the end of the style’s name (also with a .png extension). The name of the text style appears in the preset menu with the style’s attributes applied to the name.

For each custom text style, you want to remove, move the .molo file and the .png files to the Trash.

TRANSCRIPT:
In this video, I'm going to show you four things that I wish
I'd known when I first started using Final Cut Pro X.
The first has to do with connected clips. I found that every time I deleted
a clip in the main timeline and there was a connected clip on it,
that connected clip disappeared. I'll also, show you how to
move to the Beginning and the End of your video
without having to move the play head. I'll show you where
your exported clips are on your hard disk so you don't have to go
searching for them in the finder and finally I'll show you how to create
presets for the effects that you change in your video in your audio and
also in the text. As I said in the introduction when I
first started using Final Cut X, connected clips were hard to get used to.
As you can see in the timeline, here, there are a number of clips connected
to this main clip in the timeline. So if I were to delete that clip, now,
then all those connected clips go away. The simple solution to this
is if you hold the TILDE key - and that's the key
above your tab key. If you hold that down, you'll see you get a little yellow or
orange symbol, there, which will then allow you to move that
clip to another position and leave the others in place.
Or it will allow you to delete that clip,
and leave the others in place. The reason these things have all happened
is that connected clips are connected with a little blue line, and you'll
notice that there's one, here, and you'll also notice them, here, and here.
All connected clips no matter how many,
are all connected to the main clip in the main storyline,
not to another connected clip.
