When Muhammed arrived in Mecca after the revelation people celebrated with feasts, this became Eid ul-Fitr.
Eid al-Fitr, which means the "Festival of the Breaking of the Fast", marks the end of Ramadan a very important time of year for Muslim people.
During Eid, people will greet each other by saying "Eid Mubarak," which means “Blessed Eid”
Eid is a time of abundance after Ramadan. Children are offered gifts called Eidi, which can be money, accessories, food even flowers.
Eid is an occasion intended for enjoyment, forgiveness, as well as feasting, which is a nice thing to do after fasting for so long.
Eid ul-Fitr is a time to celebrate the good things in life and give thanks for all the blessings you have.
