As part of the Hildir's Request update, the world modifiers feature was added, allowing you to customise aspects of the game, such as combat difficulty and Greydwarf head flower colour. Today we look at the dev commands that govern these settings and how we can use these commands to get some insane results. Some of these commands are useful, while others are for fun. This of course, led to the development of Valheim's first racing league AKA Mario Kart in Valheim!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Commands
Setkey EnemySpeedSize (percentage without the percentage sign)
Changes both enemy speed and size to the percentage of their original sizes. Creatures that have already spawned in will only change in speed, meaning that you can use this command once to give creatures the size you wish, followed by spawning in the creatures you'd like and then using the command again to change their speed.
E.g. Commands for racing Loxes:
Setkey EnemySpeedSize 20
spawn lox
tame
spawn saddlelox
Setkey EnemySpeedSize 300
(You can go faster than 300% but your lox is also more likely to fall through the ground)
Setkey EnemyDamage (percentage without the percentage sign)
This command affects all creature damage towards players and other creatures, but not to structures and the environment.
E.g. Setkey EnemyDamage 200 to double creature damage.
Setkey PlayerDamage (percentage without the percentage sign)
This command actually just modifies creature HP inversely to the value that you choose.
E.g. Setkey PlayerDamage 200 to halve creature HP.
Setkey StaminaRate (percentage without the percentage sign)
This command modifies all stamina use.
E.g. Setkey StaminaRate 0 to disable stamina.
Setkey MoveStaminaRate (percentage without the percentage sign)
This command modifies stamina use in the same way as the previous command, but only for movement-related stamina use such as running and jumping.
E.g. Setkey MoveStaminaRate 200 to double stamina use from movement.
Setkey StaminaRegenRate (percentage without the percentage sign)
Values greater than 100 increase the speed at which stamina regenerates
E.g. Setkey MoveStaminaRate 200 to double stamina regeneration.
SetKey DungeonBuild (no number)
Allows building in dungeons, such as smouldering tombs, sunken crypts, and infested mines.
SetKey ResourceRate (percentage without the percentage sign)
Multiplier to the drop rates of most items from the environment and creatures (except trophies). Exactly like the World Modifiers option.
E.g. Setkey ResourceRate 300 to triple the number of items dropped from creatures and the environment.
SetKey EnemyLevelUpRate (percentage without the percentage sign)
Multiplies the chance of encountering starred creatures. In the wild, creatures that have starred variants have a 10% chance of a creature having stars, with 10% of those starred creatures having 2 stars (so 9% of creatures with 1 star and 1% of creatures with 2 stars)
SetKey EnemyLevelUpRate 200 would mean a chance 20% of a creatures having at least 1 star, and 20% of those with 2 stars (so 16% of creatures with 1 star and 4% of creatures with 2 stars). It doesn't actually make more enemies spawn like in the video, that was just for comedic effect.
SetKey EventRate (percentage without the percentage sign)
Affects both time between possible raid events and the probability that once occurs at these time intervals. Lower values mean more raids.
Normally every 46 mins there is a 20% chance of a raid occurring. SetKey EventRate 50 would halve the time between possible raid events and double the chance of one occurring, so every 23 mins there would be a 40% of a raid occurring.
As a formula, SetKey EventRate x would mean a possible raid occurring every 0.46*x mins, with a (20000/x)% chance.
