In this video I will go through how to enable PortFast and BPDU guard on a Cisco switch. Listening and learning state on switch ports takes 30 seconds, during that time you cannot use port because of STP protocol - Spanning Tree Protocol. To avoid this you have option to create PortFast feature which will put port immediately in forwarding state , without 30 seconds "delay".
