ASH-Viewer for Oracle and PostgreSQL Introduction
ASH-Viewer for Oracle and PostgreSQL is a great tool to aid in quickly diagnosing issues when a user calls the DBA to report slowness.
The main advantage of this tool is seeing database activities visually in real time (instead of using scripts or the ASH report).
This is an open source free tool that you can modify and improve with some java skills. This is a great learning tool can be used by all skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
For those of you that are new or unfamiliar with the concepts, google "ash analytics enterprise manager".
