Fish lies, fish lore, urban legends. A lot of good advice floats around on the web. Unfortunately so does a lot of MIS-informaton that if followed could lead to disaster. Here are a few I've come across.
What have you seen floating around out there that you knew was just not right? Post it below and share your thoughts. What "Fish Lies" have you heard?
Then, after commenting, please share this video, rate it and sub (if you haven't already)!
Thanks for stopping by. You're greatly appreciated!

60 Gal Tank Details:
Filtration: 2 SunSun 302s stuffed with sponges, Biohome Ultimate and MarinePure Cermedia and Seachem Purigen + one sponge Pre-filter attached to the inputs. Also, I just added a Marineland Emperor 400 Biowheel to the 60 gal. to help with water movement and oxygen. It's stuffed with Pinky floss, sponge filled bio-balls and the Emperor sponge/carbon inserts.
Plants: LIVE Anubias and Java Ferns.
Rocks: "Wonder Stone" (available on eBay).
Substrate: Caribsea eco-complete Cichlid Specific (shells/coral).

Lighting: 48" T-5 on a timer.
**135 Gallon Tank Breakdown**
Filtration: Fluval FX 6 filled with sponges, Fluval ceramic rings, Seachem Purigen, ChemiPure Green and a SunSun 704B filled with "egg crate" pond sponges, CNZ bio balls, Pinky Floss, ChemiPure Green and Seachem Purigen. 704B UV is used a few days week.
Heaters are two 300 watt Eheim Jagers connected to a controller from Jehmco.com, keeping things at 78 F degrees.
Lighting 2 36" Beamswork LEDs and there are two SunSun Powerheads in there (dual adjustable head 1600 gph/800 gph per impeller).
Substrate is Nature's Ocean Bio-Activ Live Aragonite "black" (looks more gray than black which is fine since it doesn't show every micro spec of detritus).
Background and rocks are from Universal Rocks (use Jay Wilson's 15% discount code at check out!), along with some lava rock.

Food: Mostly Northfin cichlid pellets 1 - 3mm, kelp wafers and Krill Gold (all available from NorthfinUSA or SuperCichlids). I also use Ken's Veg Sticks to help with digestion and provide some greens to the protomelas.
