Dodge Stratus - History, Major Flaws, & Why It Got Cancelled! (1995-2006)
In this video we are looking at the Dodge Stratus! Launched for the 1995 model year, this was a FWD mid-size family sedan produced until 2006. It was one of the 'Cloud Cars', sharing the Chrysler JA platform with the Plymouth Breeze and the Chrysler Cirrus. The Stratus was a car that was fun to drive, with good performance and handling for it’s size, along with a stylish exterior and elegant interior, all for a very fair price. Unfortunately, by 2006, it was time to replace the JA/JR platform with some newer vehicles, and the mid-size sedans were losing popularity to full size ones. There were also several major flaws, such as confusing marketing strategies, poor reliability, and 2.7L V6 engine problems.
