If you're not sure which version of WLED to use for your controller here's the answer:
for all ESP8266 controllers (D1mini on DigUno, NodeMCU, Sonoff Basic) use WLED_vXX_ESP8266.bin
for ESP32 controllers alone (Pixel Pro, Mini32, NodeMCU32) use WLED_vXX_ESP32.bin
for ESP32 controllers on a DIGUNO or DIGQUAD use WLED_vXX_ESP32_ledpin16.bin
