To work on AEM as a cloud, we need local setup which resembles our older AEM setups but a few addition to it.
Here we need Java latest version - you can download from adobe site, i will show how to do that
Next We need Node JS to work on the AEM front end code and other cloud related installations like Adobe CLI.
We also need maven for building the project as usual.
Next is AEM sdk which is a local development version of AEM as a cloud. It contains AEM author publish dispatcher modules. this can be downloaded from Adobe website
We also need docker installed to work on the dispatcher locally. [Docker provides OS-level virtualization to deliver software in packages called containers]
All these setup ensure a smooth deployment of our custom code over AEM as a cloud.
For deployment we can have Git or Github desktop based on our comfort level of using the tools.
