Defeating The Elder with copper knife and by utilizing the two different types of extended combos.
Instructions on how to replicate the extended/power knife combos:
For the extended combo : Attack once with the left mouse button while holding the block button and then immediately when your block posture re-appears after the first attack, hold the left attack button.
For the power attack combo : The only difference between the extended combo and the power attack combo is that for the power combo, you hold the middle mouse button in addition to the left attack button.
