I was In Typhoon Irma In the Philippines In 1981 walking around In It drinking a san migual beer or two, south of Manilla In Batangis headed to Putero Galero. 595 People were killed due to Irma. But Cyclone Debbie blew me around like a twig. I was standing on Airlie Beach with my video camera as It came over, Took shelter when It got dark and came out again at first light and It was still spinning clockwise. It blew me off my feet Into tree after tree. The eye came over and the pressure as It stopped spinning and started to spin anti-clockwise was unbelievable. I rekon It was stronger, It blew me around like a cigarette paper.
