In this video, you'll learn how to create GIFs and edit them with VEED's online video editor.
To showcase how the tool works, we're showing you how you can create three different kinds: a meme GIF, an avatar or PFP GIF, and an animal GIF. They all require a bit of a different editing strategy, but VEED's got you covered. 👍
After uploading your video into the editor, you can choose to crop and add text to GIF, add stickers, video stock footage and more visual elements to spice it up! 🌶
Meme GIF Maker
In the first section of the video, you'll learn how to create a meme GIF from a video. You can choose footage from the video stock library, or upload your own footage from your desktop. In this example, the GIF will be made into a square and the footage will be trimmed and positioned at the bottom section within the video canvas. Text will be added on top of it to add context to the meme video, alongside emojis as an emphasising element.
Avatar/PFP GIF Maker
In the second section of the video, a profile picture GIF (or avatar GIF) will be made. PFP GIFs are GIFs that usually portray a cutout (PNG) of a person's face with an animated background added behind it. In this example, a video from the stock library will be chosen that will serve as the animated background in the avatar GIF. The profile picture cutout (transparent) is uploaded into the editor separately, as shown in the video. After a bit of trimming and cropping, you're pretty much ready to go! You can upload these PFP GIFs to platforms such as Discord.
Animal GIF Maker
In the third and last section of the video, you'll learn how to create an animal GIF. In this example, the video stock library is used again. You can search for animal videos you can use for your GIFs: dogs, cats, giraffes, elephants, dolphins, you name it. Simply search for one, select it and it will be automatically added to the project. From here, you can add text, emojis, and more, to make the cutest, coolest or funniest animal GIF you've every shared!
