Have you seen those amazing pieces of work on Instagram where people have interlaced their lettering behind parts of an image? Well I show you how to do that using a simple tracing technique in the Procreate App for the iPad! It may seem like a difficult concept, but it is pretty simple and only takes a couple of minutes.
All you have to do is trace over the parts you want to cut out (on a new layer), then select the contents of that layer, and then copy and paste them onto your original image!
It doesn’t seem like that would work, but some crazy magic happens and Procreate generates a whole new piece of your image on it’s own layer!
Then, all you have to do is insert a layer in between those two and you are ready to start drawing! Let me know below if you have used this technique before!
