Hey guys! Josh here with an awesome, detailed tutorial series on how to create and properly host a Rust dedicated server, install Oxide to it, and play with friends.
Unlike other videos out there, this entire collection is in English and is recent as of 9/10/14. I use the latest and greatest files and I'm extremely detailed.
I will teach you how to download and use SteamCMD, download rust server files, install them properly, connect to your private server through the console, have your friends connect to your private server, show up and connect on the public server list, download Oxide 1.18, install Oxide properly, install Oxide Plugins properly, change configurations of plugins, customize your server, set up RCON, set up a server.cfg file, a proper .bat file, explain how being an Admin works, how to use Rusty Admin Tool, how to connect using Tunngle, and how to connect using Hamachi, how to do port forwarding on a Linksys E2500, and how to forward the ports on an Arris DG860.
In part 5, you will be shown:
-Explain how people can connect to you
-Explain how your server can be shown on the Public Server List
-Explain why some people wont be able to do this
-Show how to port forward router
-Show how to port forward modem
