Make a Custom 2D Collision Shape in Unity

Greetings, in this tutorial we shall be looking at how to create a custom 2D collision shape in Unity. This is great if you want more precise collisions.

After importing your sprite into Unity, we need to enter the unity sprite editor. In here we can create a custom physics shape. Then we can create a custom physic shape to define the custom collision we want.

After creating a custom phyics shape, click the apply button in the Unity sprite editor, then close the unity sprite editor.

Now we need to attatch our sprite to an object with a sprite renderer. Next we need to add a Polygon Collider 2D component to the same object. The unity Polygon Collider 2D component will use the physics shape we made before to create the collision shape. You can edit this collision shape too.
